Christmas post

Well this week was weird in a lot of ways.   I will start at the beginning. Tuesday and Wednesday were 2 of the best days of my mission. Some cool things that happened not once but twice.....
we knocked on a door to house we really didn't think anyone was at. We both knew we should knock so we did and we found a really awesome member and his wife ( maybe married nobody gets married here so hard to tell ) They are total ballers and super chill but also love missionaries and really want to help us and the work. They even invited us over the next day for Christmas eve dinner, which was delicious!  I got to eat some seafood for the first time in this land locked desert state!  It was pretty cool. Thursday was okay --a few a appointments fell through and we didn't get a lot done because of the fact no one stays home for Christmas on the rez. Friday we got to go to the stake Presidents house for breakfast and then walked over to the 1st counselor in the mission presidency's house and relaxed with them for a while.  I don't know why but his 2 sons and soon to be (maybe) son in law are all super huge and ripped. After that we went to the church and studied for a couple hours then all went our separate ways to call home. Elder Hudak, Elder Bratt, Elder Tollefson, and I all went to Leupp to spend Christmas with the Nelsons They are an awesome family. While we were there we got to FaceTime our family which was awesome and weird. Oh and I ate like 20 plus ribs haha food... anyways that's it for Christmas. On Saturday while getting firewood to an 90 year old shima (old lady) the man who was helping us deliver the wood go broad sided by a car going 65 miles an hour only a 100 yards in front of us!  I honestly cannot believe no one died. The truck that hit the man who was helping us almost flipped and went into a ditch but instead ricochet and missed a ditch by about a foot. The truck that was hit almost flipped and I think it would have had it not bean full of wood. His tuck is still drivable and his door is the only thing damaged. And yes the lady got her wood and only one person went to the hospital for a concussion. So besides that it was a normal Saturday. Sunday we got the opportunity to give talks in sacrament so yippy haha I was asked to speak on Joseph Smith which was a pleasure. Elder T. was asked to speak on the Book of Mormon. And that's our week
My pondrize scripture is John 17:3
3  "And this is life eternal , that they might know thee the only true God , and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent." I like this scripture because its very simple we all need to get to know Jesus Christ and God the father better. Our purpose as missionaries is to  " invite others to come unto Christ by helping them receive the restored gospel through faith in Jesus Christ and His Atonement, repentance, baptism, receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost, and enduring to the end." and I think this scripture covers that very well.

I love you all and hope Christmas was wonderful for you

December

Hey guys,
I am sending some printed Christmas pictures in a box today with other stuff hope you guys like it.
This week has been crazy.   I don't even remember half of it to be honest. We had exchanges and transfers.   I survived both I am staying in Dilkon for at leas 6 more weeks. This week it snowed 3 inches Saturday and today when we left it was a blizzard.   A car was even flipped over but they were fine. I guess that happens when you are 5670 ft elevation.  It is getting cold here though but I like it.

Thank you everyone for all the packages and gifts I think I have figured out what each gift is haha!
This last Saturday we had our Christmas party it was really great!  I met at least 12 people I never had before we plan on seeing them this up coming week. ( Elder Tollifson is also staying 1 more transfer) I finally named a stray dog that has been hanging out at the church I named her Lindy which is short for Lindor Truffle because she is part brown Lab.

We have been really trying to find some new promising investigators.   So we got a few last week and will get a few this week. Things are going great and my ponderize scripture for this week is john 3:16.   I am sure you all know it.

btw we will be able to Skype on Christmas!!!
I’ll get more details next Monday and I need the address or number thing for you guys.

 Well, love you all.~Chase

18 more days -till I get to call

Wow okay! So this week we did a lot of service about 6 hours to be exact most of that was "chopping woods" as the natives say it. I was kinda sore from that haha. I have not tried mutton yet nor do I speak very much Navajo but, I'll get there. Anyway, we are having a branch Christmas party this Saturday which is also transfer news day.   So I'll know if I am leaving or staying which should be interesting.   I am 1/8 done with my mission which blows my mind!  I will be sending a CHRISTmas themed picture soon. probably. My ponderize scripture is 2 nephi 19:6 which goes with the CHRISTmas video a savior is born that the church has put out. I hope everyone remembers why we really have CHRISTmas.

Something interesting that happened this week is a guy here who has a serious problem with alcohol called us during a planning session in the morning and said he had some vodka and doesn't know what to do with it.   So, we talked him down and then drove over to his house and helped him (persuaded him to destroy it.)   Then chopped some wood for him.  It was awesome to see he really wants to make that change.  That was basically my week oh and our pipes froze for a couple hours then thawed out so we just leave the water dripping at night and we are good now.

Well love you all and happy bday to Ian

I forgot to add to the email the girl Shayna we baptized has been seeing skin walkers and stuff.  I gave her my ipod for awhile and we are making her a usb with some uplifting music to help her. Her story's really freak me out and they are detailed!  We also gave her a blessing.

For Christmas I probably wont have face time sorry. So we can just call and talk.  I am going to send you guys something soon probably next Monday
And yes  I just got a ton of packages. I haven't opened them yet.

BTW give a special thx to frosty they sent a really nice package last week

And I did put up the paper tree you sent me -HaHa

love you - Chase

Got a picture from Elder Bloomfield (back when he was a missionary in our ward - Arlington) :
So on thanksgiving I went to hahave dinner with a bunch of family and... I found someone! He seems to really be enjoying his mission!

Thanksgiving post

Whoa,  so it sounds like everyone's holidays went good!
Here is my thanksgiving morning we butchered a sheep for a family that needed food!  That was really cool  & I wasn't grossed out at all,  it didn't even smell!
We didn't get to eat any yet because we had a meeting at 10 am to learn about the "a savior is born video", which I am very exited for.
There are three white people in the village us and this person!

For Thanksgiving dinner we went to our branch presidents house, except it was actually at the church because they have 30+  grandkids. It was chaos but I loved it!  It was so fun and we met some awesome people.   One of the nephews served in our Arlington Church on his mission right after dad got released as bishop so that was cool to see him.   I thought I recognized him ha!   We also attended a late thanksgiving at a less active members home on Saturday it was good.   I ate half a blackberry pie.  I kind of miss blackberry's but I got my fill for now.
Earlier in the week we moved a mans dead dog for him. It was almost a month old. That was the single worst smell I have ever smelt in my life!   After doing that we went to teach him.  Unfortunately he was drunk.   I will just say that alcohol in any form, once ingested puts you directly into satans hands.   The holy spirit was so far gone and we wanted to leave so badly but we couldn't just leave.   We had to put it very softly or else we would have probably got in a fight.  But it worked out and we are giving him time to cool off. So that was quite an experience but we learned from it. It is very interesting as I study the book of Mormon.  I see so many correlations with the Lamenites and I then experience many of them for myself. Because of this I have a rare opportunity to see the book of Mormon in a way I have never imagined it.
Moving off of that subject though I am so excited to start teaching people about the saviors birth and why it applies to them,as well as all living, future, and deceased people. We have been studying his life a lot lately.  I got a hold of the latest bible videos and I am watching those in my spare time. They are so good and its great to watch what I have just read it takes on a much deeper and real feel.

Lastly I would like too share a funny coincidence.   There is a lady who's last name is Roskelley in the next town over who has been getting all of my packages. Luckily, its all figured out now and I have received all the packages.

Thank you every one for the love and prayers you send my way I feel them and am very great full for such family and friends as you. Also, my ponderize scripture is Isaiah 41:10 its a good one and I hope you all will remember you are never alone.

Thank You.

Love, Elder Roskelley

Thanksgiving!

Oh my goodness that looks sooooo goooood! (picture we sent him with lobster and crab)
Im so happy for you guys and everything that is going well!  To bad about Jaden’s arm and Ian’s rib but Elle is fine so she must be the toughest sibling, haha.  I forgot my ponderize scripture last week it was Proverbs 17:17 and it works with brothers and sisters.  This scripture really made me appreciate not only my friends but, especially my brothers and sister. My ponderize scripture for this week is Ether 12:27- this is a long one so it won’t be easy to memorize like the last one.   But I’m exited about it - its a good one and I have already seen this happening on my mission and I still have 90% of it to go.

So, this week here in Dilkon Arizona we talked to a few people under the influence it was sad and also funny at time.   For example we listened to amazing grace for a half hour on max volume with one guy.   Luckily, on the 27th of December we will be starting an addiction recovery class. Someone from the stake is running it.  It will help a lot of people so we are trying to get as many people to go as possible.  We already have at least 5 that will go. The people here are so awesome we have like 9 invites to Thanksgiving.   I personally want to hit them all with some to go boxes but we will see…..
It’s frustrating to see the devils hand in some of these peoples life and how much he has done to them. On the other hand we also see the Lords omnipotent hand in preparing the people to be ready to hear the gospel  & make changes for good.  It reminds me much of the story with Alma and the poor Zorimites who had been humbled and thus prepared to hear the gospel and make a change.
I love the Book of Mormon so much.

Anyway, love you all and can’t wait to hear your ponderize scriptures from the last 3 weeks.

 love ya

Christmas info

Got an email from the mission presidency with Christmas info.  All packages should be to missionaries by December 9th. (Im assuming thats for their main one from their parents so they can see how many missionaries didnt get anything and to help them.)   I called the office and there area quite a few that don't get packages so they put some together for them.  They're happy to accept walmart gift cards if anyone is interested in sending them.  Let me know and i'll get you that address.   The address on the blog is the correct address for Chase.

Crazy week!

So, this week was weird we had to drive to Winslow 5 times! That comes out to 400 miles so, we are walking more now because we’re so low on miles for the car.  But that’s a fun change. I think I have pretty much tuned out all the dog barking. I actually hit a dog with a rock! So this week we went to pick up a bill and then pay it for a lady so she could have power back on. Its weird, I feel so at home with some of the people we visit & it’s awesome. One investigator specifically is the nicest and most giving person I have ever met.  Despite what in my eyes are mountains of trials physically and financially. It is very humbling. We helped him put up some dry wall the other day.  It was fun. I really can’t explain how much I love some of these people.  I get so crazy happy when I see them at church its funny.
We  had a door slammed in our face and she yelled at us for forcing our religion on people,   I was mad for like 5 min then I laughed but, I hope she comes around.

The traditions out here really hard especially this week they have had a 10-day ceremony called  Yei Bi Chei.   (Navajo weaving Yei bi Chai ceremony for healing and balance with man and nature.)
Things are going really good.  One investigator was going to move.  But some crazy stuff happened at where she was going to move to so she is now staying in Dilkon.  Which is an answer to our prayers.

Love you all-
                          Hagoonee ! bye

November 09,2015

Received this picture from someone yesterday. Made my day!  Look at that short haircut!

Thank you I loved your email mom. Elle’s field trip sounded so great I wish I could go on that island.  It sounds like fun. Thanks for the pictures. Also, I’ll be sending my current sd card soon maybe next week.

So a guess some kind of bomb test happened a couple nights ago or meteors or something I don't know (I've heard it both ways...) Anyway it was like blue haze at night it was weird.  I was confused and I don't have superpowers to find out what it was so darn.

Well my last ponderize scripture was a good one I have thought a lot about all the symbolism it had and wow there is a lot. (psalms18;2) but this week is a good one too it is 3 Nephi 12:16 It is Jesus Christ talking to the peoples in the Americas, pretty cool. I love hearing everyone's ponderize scriptures and if you don't do that, then start and then send them to me so I can read them haha.  (that’s for everone!)   I actually have quoted my past scriptures that I have memorized in lessons some times so that is neat.

So it snowed this week but only like 2 cm it would have been inches but the ground was so wet. Apparently we are just shy of 6000 ft elevation. That so weird but it explains why I get so winded some times.  Its either the elevation or the fry bread haha.  Still haven't tried mutton but I will soon thanksgiving is coming up. It is beautiful here in so many ways we took a back road from Dilkon to Joseph City and the scenery was incredible. Also, there is a cave that a recent convert told us about.   We are going there next week woohoo Im so exited!  An investigator told us where to find pottery and arrow head so we will be out there sooner or later to search.

I love the people here we are teaching a bible basher Navajo ha weird right but it breaks my heart (and makes me mad some of the things he says).  He just needs the rest of the gospel.  He is awesome and we have a good feeling about him. Regional conference was great and yes grandma it was the same one as yours.  And I think it was the same as Taylor s too which was cool.

Love ya’ll and until next week -hagooshi

November 2nd post

Wow, those costumes are really funny!  Elle’s is a little creepy and Ian and Jadens masks are too. (haha just kidding)  So, I made it through transfers and so did elder Tollefson.  BTW its his bday on the 30th of Nov. Unfortunately Elder Shinney in my district is leaving which makes me really sad. But we are getting lots of transfers in and only one new trainee

This last Sunday was fast and testimony meeting and Jerome our investigator got up and to bare his testimonty.  It was awesome! He was telling all the members to be better missionary's and everything!   He also participated in the lesson a ton. It was great.

I was sick the last couple days.  I probably ate like 200 calories of food in 2 and a half days but I am fine now. I actually had it good the Elder in Leupp was throwing up all day. I think we ate something bad.

Teaching has been good we still need to teach more investigators but its hard when so many people are just less actives. wWe have done lots more service this week not as much as we planned on though.

My ponderize scripture this week is Psalms 18:2 its a good one. I am going to ponderize the heck out of it this week.

Our dryer broke the day before I got those dry cleaning things but it just got fixed so I tried it out on my pants it worked good.  ( I think- I mean they smelled good)  I got a hair cut Elder Tollefson gave it to me.  Its pretty good.

In district meeting we all gave a little talk about a Christ like attribute.  The one I chose to talk about was knowledge.  It was good and I learned a lot while preparing it. My Navajo is okay I can say several words but not a lot yet.

I am working on it though.

Well I got to go see everyone later.

btw love you guys.

Week 10/25 update.

Wow sounds like a lot is happened.  In a letter you will get in a week ( sent it today) I already wrote that dad should a make a ponderize app I didn't know someone already did, dang!  My ponderize scripture this week is Alma 62:41 and I don't want you to think I am having a hard time.  But I did want to have this scripture in my arsenal so to speak because I am sure I will eventually need it.  I know that people I teach will need it so,  I decided to study it and memorize it.

Transfers are this week, ahhhhh!  I don't want to leave and I'm super scared to train someone and take over the area.  So, I've been praying to have me and Elder T stay here So, we will see if I get to stay.

I am so jealous you have Dicks Sporting Goods.  All we have is a Bashes, which is like Safeway's wimpy little bro.  But I did get an axe and some deer skin leather gloves for service. Which I talk about in my letter. I even drew you guys a picture.

One of our investigators had an insane experience with the spirit I recorded a voice file telling about his story on the little microphone usb thing you gave me.   So you guys can hear that later.

Also,  we contacted a referral she was smoking something, to be honest not sure what but I decided standing down wind from her would be a poor decision. Oh yeah, her kid had just broke her arm like 3 hours before-- that was weird.

I love studies in the morning. The BoM is so awesome I cant even explain.  Learning every day and getting tan... just kidding but I am not sunburned either so that's good.

Anyway- I love hearing from everyone and thanks for all the packages they mean a lot.
Here are a few picts of the cute puppies for Elle.

Sweet letter from Chase's trainer.

Hello Brother and Sister Roskelley!  This is Elder Tollefson, Elder Roskelley's companion!  I just wanted to write and tell you how great Elder Roskelley is doing.  You have raised up a fine young man who is an amazing missionary!  He has been such a blessing to work with and i am grateful to have him as a companion.

P.S.  Thank you so much for the socks!!!!

Love Elder Tollefson

10/19 weekly update Dilkon

Good week!  We finally got over 20 lessons this week and  went to the temple and had  a baptism. My ponderize scripture for this week is Mathew 7:7,8. By the way, I have memorized all my ponderize scriptures.  So, by the end of my mission I will have about 100 scriptures memorized! The baptism was really good I gave a talk at it and my companion baptized her and the branch president confirmed her which was good because I have only known her 3 weeks.   I was super happy for her because she has had a crazy past.
The temple trip was awesome we got to go to the Snowflake Temple which is actually out of mission boundary so we got permission from the prophet for that.   I forgot my camera for the temple, sorry. One of our investigators had such a spiritual experience he had to go walk out side after and couldn't go to sleep that night.

Its so awesome here!  We should have 2-3 baptisms here in the next 2 months so yippy so exited.

I am eating very healthy I even have almond milk I think I actually lost weight.

Hi josh -hope you like Washington still haha.

Elle so cool about you tennis Ill have to play you when I get back but you will have to show me how first haha.

Jaden three sports at once week! I hope you are still having fun.

That is crazy about your rib Ian and it must not have hurt that bad if you didn't cry haha just kidding.

See you guys later.- Chase

ps- picture is shakey because the Elder that took it has the shakes often.   This dog was the softest dog on earth!

No dry cleaner?! He's killing me

Wow this week flew by, its insane!

I’m getting more comfortable and I am getting super deep into the Book of Mormon. My “ponderize” scripture this week is Alma 37:6 It’s really good and I almost have it memorized. It talks about how small and simple things bring to pass great things. So, I think about reading the scriptures, prayer, church, etc. Mostly it makes me think about a quote my MTC teacher said " obedience brings blessings, exact obedience bring miracles" and I really think this is true especially if you add faith and diligence into the equation. Another slightly related quote I heard from Elder Clark ( who was in my MTC district and also lives in Washington) at a recent zone training went some thing like this    “knowledge plus experience equals wisdom”.   I really love that because as I learn during my study time then go try to teach and live it I become wise (which seems like a stretch but I think it is happening hahah.)

We have a baptism in 6 days wooohoo! (she was already taught all the lessons by the elders before me)  It should be good and she even gave me a card and princess balloon for my bday it was really nice.

The weather is back to hot again so- yippy -and it is now “suit season” so, we have to wear suits if its under 70 but we don't have a thermometer so I never know what the temp is so we just wear them anyway and its so hot.  No, I haven't gotten my suits dry cleaned there is no dry cleaner anywhere near.   I just wipe of the dirt paw marks from dogs with a wet rag it seems to work pretty good.  I am recording on the usb recorder you sent.  Its so cool.   I also recorded an elder singing in stake conference which was this week. It was really good.   The conference topic was conversion.  I think it was super applicable to us missionary's. The talks about how they got converted where amazing. BTW a talk that everyone should listen to is "the conversion story of bill carpenter a catholic priest"  Hagoonee (Navajo)

love you bye- Elder Roskelley

Weekly update Oct 5th 2015

So luckily we caught chase online and got to kind of IM back and forth. It was so awesome to "hear" him in real time. It was just for a few minutes but it was awesome. I  find it so cool the similarities in the tribal customs. So many have dreams as answers to their spiritual questions. I wish I could be that in tune that a dream could answer my questions.   I remember some similar experiences at church on the Tulalip reservation.  Beautiful in their own way.
HERE IS HIS LETTER :

Hey guys,

I hope every one is doing well.  I’m having a good a time.   We put two people on date for baptism this week so that's exiting! One of them is Louise Smith ,an old Navajo, after our first meeting she told us that since then she has felt a good weird and had goose bumps.   Also, she told us that she had a dream of her holding a baby in white blanket and how the dream was different and she has been thinking about it for 2 days.   We felt inspired to tell her that she was feeling the spirit and that the baby she was holding was Jesus and I showed her a picture of a nativity which I had thrown in my bag for some reason that morning. When she saw the picture you could tell she was like “ohhh!”.  She held baby Jesus in her dream! Which was an awesome experience!

General conference (bi-annual conference we have that is broadcast) was amazing Elder Durrants talk was my favorite I think but I missed David A. Bednar cuz our Wi-Fi went out, ha. I it was a miracle that it stayed as good as it did for so long. Elder T and I both have a scripture already for this week mine is D&C 33:13  and my question to start my”ponderization” is What is the rock? I’d love to know what all your scriptures are.

Also, Benny Beckis ,a less active member, came to conference and just had a death in the family but when he heard Elder Eyrings talk he just cried and said “my baby girl his home”.  It was awesome I think it helped him a lot.

Oh, and thanks for all the packages I love the drawings from the nunleys and the protein stuff & shaker bottle.  BTW I just got protein from the store and was going to buy a shaker bottle but didn't ha! We have plenty to eat mom, Elder T’s mom sent us like 50 lbs of food seriously, so we are good. One thing that would be awesome is a usb like 64 gig or more with the man of steal sound track on there. That can be my Christmas present. All everyone uses is USBs because our trucks take them.

There was a huge storm last night the lightning was so close to us like it was probably only a quarter mile away some times.  The thunder was shaking our house, it was awesome! The rain made me happy though and a little home sick. We went on a sweet hike today.  I’ll send pics soon. Anyways got to go I hope all my friends and my family are doing good. Look forward to you emails.  There are some cute puppies out here.   After my mission I’m coming to get a puppy from here.

We don’t have ipads but there’s talks of us getting them in the future.  That would be so nice.

Have to go- we’re headed back to our place and will grab the mail on the way.  It’s a long drive

  Love you guys – Chase

Good Ol'Dilkon AZ

Hey guys this email is for everyone because I don't have a ton of time to write.

But here we go.. so I have a letter for you guys I'll mail it today or tomorrow I hope ---its kind of hard to mail stuff and to get packages we have to drive like an hour to get them but its really beautiful out here and I did see the moon last night.  It was incredible and apparently once it started to get covered Navajo tradition is you cant eat or drink until it is uncovered again but I ate a baked potato so hopefully I don't get killed by a snake or something.
Anyway the people here truly are incredible multiple people have told us about visions that blow my mind like one lady had a dream of a tree that was the true gospel and all the other churches where its roots and all lead back to the tree trunk so that's crazy awesome (lehi s dream) kinda.   Also, another guy who will be getting baptized in  October had a dream where a super deep English voice told him to look at the bottom of a hill so he did then he saw his daughter that he had awhile later. Yeah its pretty cool to think about this stuff. the Book of Mormon is huge here and it can be really effective especially to the natives. I have heard a lot of Navajo talking by the tribal elders (not lds missionaries just old men) and its really cool. My companion is really good he is really spiritual and prays for really a long time. Im trying to pray until he stops but its hard. We climbed the Dilkon mountain (pict above) one morning it was sweet!  It didn't take long cuz its like a 3 min drive from our mobile. Which is by the way is clean now because we cleaned it. But it was kinda nasty in the bathroom.  I have gotten to try some fry bread it was pretty good. I also got to try pinions? They are like sunflower seed but they taste like burnt popcorn - I like them.  My companion has only been out 7 weeks so he is kinda new but it doesn't seem like it. He and his last companion killed a rattle snake which we have in the fridge so idk how or when but we are going to eat it or something. There are some jewelry makers that are in the ward like Richard Singer and Benny Beckis and the stuff they make is cool but expensive.  I'm doing good and learning so much. Also, there are only like 40 people in the branch but we are trying to get it to 80 because then we can build an actual church building that is big and has a b ball court.
I saw a dead horse. There are a lot of dogs and it actually makes me sad some times but, I still don't miss buddy at all.  Anyways thanks Jaden for watering my tree and it sounds like you guys are all doing good with school and sports and stuff.

Love you  - Chase

Also,  I will send the Memory cards when I get them but it might be a while because I have to get a slip in the mail then take that to the post office except there is no post office so it wont be until p day or district meeting that I can get it. bye and good luck to every one.

oh yeah -we have a garden ill take a picture so you guys can see it later it is actually pretty good. We've got a lot of tomatoes and Elder Tollefson doesn't really like them so yippy they are all mine. Im gonna get some white cheese for them.  Also can you send be our cookie recipe  and some crock pot recipes

New mission home address

Elder Chase Roskelley
400 West Apache
Farmington, NM. 87401

Hear his voice.

So this morning Chase was able to call us from the airport.  It was brief but it was so good to hear his voice!  Man I love that kid.  ( I think I've been awake since 4am knowing he'd call). He is off toNew Mexico and the Navajo reservation.  He sounded so excited!   Of course he couldn't figure out the calling card we sent him  (said it didn't work) so he scrounged up change to call us from a pay phone and then we called him back. He loved the MTC and all he was able to learn there.  Didn't like the cramped quarters and said he missed having his own bathroom.  He estimated he drank 7 gallons of chocolate milk while he was there. The most important part was that he sounded healthy and happy.   So grateful and feeling so blessed to have gotten to talk to him.  Can't wait for his first letter in the field.

Yay it was today!!!

hey, so i got the package thank you a ton,  the mayan palace spray leaked a little i could actually smell it in the mail hall. Its going really good here the food is great i think i have gotten 50% of my nutrition from chocolate milk but it good -so yeah.
Lots of spiritual stuff like film called Character of Christ by David a Benar was life changing. My companion is awesome and sooo spiritual & my district is also sweet! One elder is seriously the more awesome less athletic version of Nathen aune. I actually think he will be a general authority. I have already baptized 3 people ---just kidding but I have been teaching investigators which is awesome even though they are technically actors but it doesn't feel like it. My testimony has definitely grown a lot especially as we teach. For example me and my companion went to teach the plan of salvation but then ended up teaching the restoration instead and all the people we teach we challenge to baptism and they actually say yes. Anyways I'm out of time but doing good.

Ps -good job jaden and ian in your football and love you ED.. elle

PPS taylor the orange juice will not give you gas despite the rumors you may hear. A kid in my district tried it and was fine.

sincerely chase

Tears of joy and sadness.

For years I have congratulated people when their kids leave for missions with no idea how truly hard the task really was.  How can today feel like one of the best and saddest/hardest day of a parents life?  We flew into SLC this morning drove Chase to the MTC and then jumped back on a flight back to Seattle.  I know it was a short trip but I am so glad we got to be the ones to drop him off and give him  his last hug.

It's official

Chase was set apart last night at a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of a Latter-day Saints.
Here is a pict of all the kids one last time and a pict with chases best friend who is leaving for his mission in a couple months.
