November Updates and first Dec one.

DEC 5th

This week was good got a little more snow but it keeps melting a little. Ahhhhh.  The week was good.  We got to go on exchanges with Elder Dilworth and man he is a good missionary wow! Also the Christmas initiative # lighttheworld is so good we showed to lots and because of it we are finding lots of people to teach its wonderful.

I want to start a quote of the week thing and the one for this week is form elder Herrera who is one of the funniest people I have ever met. He does this thing where if you do something he says " Thats a party foul" ie:  I hit him with a snow ball... " thats a major party foul!" hahahh so funny.

Also we got to teach a gal who is dating a member and it was such a good lesson the spirit was undeniable.   In fact later Elder Herrera said if I denied that id go to hell. not sure if thats true but he is kinda right you really ought not to deny what the spirit prompts you to do or not do. .
my ponderize scripture is Matthew 5:13-14

¶Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.
14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

I love the salt part because salt makes everything better  and that is what the gospel does to us and in return we can make the world better. and of course the part about the light has a similar meaning. and it makes me think of what light does it helps us see and the gospel of jesus christ most definitely does that but we need to be humble.
well love you all lots maybe.... hahah

NOV 28

Rachel got baptized!  So happy for her. My thanksgiving was great! we ate with a great family in our ward. We ate with the Hermasmens.  The mom is from Russia so that was fun.   She is super nice and he is a business man/firefighter so of course I loved that.

We got more snow and we hit a deer....  its okay we only brushed him... at 15 miles an hour hahah .  He was fine he got up and ran a way kinda.

This week we got to take care of the Hermasmens dogs after Thanksgiving so that was pretty fun playing with a huge German Shepard in the woods. Elder Herrera , Elder Jeffery and I have had tons of fun teaching all the people who speak Spanish because Elder Herrera speaks Spanish so its been great.   We taught lots of new people.

My ponderize scripture is 1 Corinthians 13:11

its a fun one. so if any one wasting time with childish things (like i have and sometimes do) remember this scripture....
.
When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.
its so good it reminds me i need to be more mature and dignified especially as i have the saviors name on my chest.

Also please look up this great little Christmas video https://www.mormon.org/?cid=HP_FR_25-11-2016_dMIS_fmorg_xLIDyL1-A_

love yall

NOV 21
Well this week was so fun it snowed twice in fact its snowing right now, not sticking much except on the mountain peaks. We moved too! We now live up town the place is sooo nice and its right next to a ton of trail heads in the forest.   Its like a dream the only thing is we can only go for workouts in the morning and on Mondays if we have time.

This week was amazing we got to teach a ton of people new people and there is a baptism Saturday for an investigator. The members here are amazing they bring people who are interested to church.   Its great we will be having thanks giving with a family who owns the place we live in.  He is a firefighter and his son who is like 30 plus does crossfit so that should be fun. I  survived transfers I will stay here with Elder jeffery and we will be getting another missionary to so it will be great.

My ponderize scripture is  moroni 10:33
And again, if ye by the grace of God are perfect in Christ, and deny not his power, then are ye sanctified in Christ by the grace of God, through the shedding of the blood of Christ, which is in the covenant of the Father unto the remission of your sins, that ye become holy, without spot.

This is something we all need to do/remember always.

November Update

Vigilante:THE CROSSER ( just messin around)

Our Durango Zone

This week was a little crazy we went to Farmington twice.   Once for exchanges and once for my comp he isnt hurt or anything just a check up thing he has to do every 8 weeks.

Something crazy is we saw a BEAR in the middle of the road at night but don't worry I yelled and growled at it just like ultimate survival Alaska taught me to!  It ran a way and later a guy told us to be carful there was a bear around and we said we know we already scared him. haha-- it was sweet though it was pretty big and was just chillin in the middle of the road while we where tracting at night.

Found some people this week that have great potential to have the gospel in their life. Also its getting cold.

My ponderize scripture is Doctrine and Covenants 6: 22-24

22 Verily, verily, I say unto you, if you desire a further witness, cast your mind upon the night that you cried unto me in your heart, that you might know concerning the truth of these things.

23 Did I not speak peace to your mind concerning the matter? What greater witness can you have than from God?

24 And now, behold, you have received a witness....."

Isnt that great we have all had experiences that build our testimony, often we just need to remember them and strive not to forget them.

btw that was in a talk from elder renlund or rasband i forgot.

Love- Chase

Things are doing great here!   We had  a lady we are teaching pray to know if our gospel is true.  And of course she got an answer because she prayed with real intent and a sincere heart having faith in Jesus Christ.   Its amazing she is ready for baptism in December it will be great! o

Okay that tie is amazing but yeah it is from a thrift store it cost 50 cents can you believe that!
(we razed him about the ugly tie in a picture)

This Sunday we got to give talks  Up in  Silverton Colorado I would highly suggest looking up pictures of the town and the view it has of the mountains all around it. It was so amazing! We got up to 10,640 ft elevation on the pass and the town was at like 9500 ft elevation. The branch out there is even smaller then Dilkon was. With us included there was 7 people but it was fun and spiritual.

This week has been good we ran out of books of Mormon to give out so we started giving out Spanish ones.  We only have one of those left. but we are going to Farmington tonight and we will get more while we are there.

Lets see -my ponderize scripture is

Doctrine and Covenants 121:44  "That he may know that thy faithfulness is stronger than the cords of death."

I love this because if you look at the "he" in the verse and imagine him as the Savior then it really makes me think of how important it is to be faithful until the end. And really there is no end we have all eternity but included in that is sooooooo much blessings many of which we cant even comprehend.

They switched name tags for Halloween.
I joked he tied his tie to short and nicknamed it "thrift store tie"

Judging the Costume Contest

10/24

wow Durango is beautiful!  My camera is somewhere in my luggage and I haven't found it yet but don't worry you will get pictures because its just gorgeous here in the fall. I think a lady did send you a picture  of my first dinner here. We cover all of Durango.  Its great we will never run out of people to teach. I do miss Page though.   Elder Jeffery (my new companion)  is a super good missionary so I am excited to be learning from him. The only thing I dont like about Durango is that because weed is legal and its a small collage town all we smell l24x 7 is weed smell.   Its lame. But i am sure we will run into some funny people hahahahah.

Well ponderize for this week is Mosiah 2:41
And moreover, I would desire that ye should consider on the blessed and happy state of those that keep the commandments of God. For behold, they are blessed in all things, both temporal and spiritual; and if they hold out faithful to the end they are received into heaven, that thereby they may dwell with God in a state of never-ending happiness. O remember, remember that these things are true; for the Lord God hath spoken it.

I second this scripture, if you are struggling look to those who have the gospel AND ARE LIVING it, thats kinda the most important part. I promise that as you are not just grudgingly obedient but lovingly  righteous you will be blessed.

love Elder Roskelley

We received a letter from Chase's Mission president this week early in October.Thanking Chase for his service and  new calling(job).    He is currently serving as the Zone Leader in Durango Colorado.

I got transferred... I sure have loved Page though  &  have met some amazing
people and some incredible missionary's.  Im sure I'll be back.  There happens

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Colorado
I am very excited and nervous it will be a change! Page is the hottest part of the
mission and Durango is the coldest so that should be cool... (pun) yup!
 It should be good
This week was great.  Saturday was so fruitful and Sunday was amazing
there was over 20 less actives at church it was amazing. And the testimony s were great.
I feel so blessed to have been here, but I know Durango will be good for me.
My ponderize scripture would be the quote from
President Monson " Remember who you are and what God expects you to become
. You are a child of promise. You are a man of might. You are a son of God."

I love that a lot I have thought about it a lot lately and I am so great full for a prophet.

A better letter for Fall

Sorry i have gotten out of the habit of writing in my journal and I need to.

This week was good !  In district meeting a couple of weeks a go we set some goals and its so great to have them.  Elder Williams had us put them somewhere we can see them every day and its helped a lot.  One of my goals was to have 3 good progressing investigators and we have 4 now! It amazing. Ron, bro Paul, Dennis and Lyle are the 4 that are doing so well and as I reflect I again see we have done very little and that it was the spirit that has brought about the change.

Lastly my ponderize scripture this week is

Moses 1:39  39 For behold, this is my work and my glory—to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man. yep and we get to help and it really does bring joy.

We got into a crossfit gym its amazing here are some pictures.

Also, ran to Horseshoe Bend again and found a pear tree in our area( free food!!!) and cut and insane amount of wood for some investigators in the rain it was great. We also helped some people move for about 6 and a half hours!

IAlso have had some humbling experiences lately. The reason being -- we where committed to pray for humbling experiences so I have,. ha I remember one point I was laying on the ground and offered a silent prayer that basically was me saying" I think this might be to much Heavenly Father.   I didn't want this many experiences in one day then i remembered the words of nephi "

And it came to pass that I, Nephi, said unto my father: I will go and do the things which the Lord hathcommanded, for I know that the Lord giveth no commandments unto the children of men, save he shall preparea way for them that they may accomplish the thing which he commandeth them.

So of course I can handle it AND so can ya'll

well love ya guys lots

Sept 9.19

Okay, this week has been slow and sometimes was aggravating.   People are very confused.   The spirit is so important in finding Gods true church. So i have been studying the articles of faith and wow they help alot for every one you can find scriptural back up. The articles of faith constitute Gods church as in the times of Jesus Christ. The articles of faith are--
We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost.
2 We believe that men will be punished for their own sins, and not for Adam’s transgression.
3 We believe that through the Atonement of Christ, all mankind may be saved, by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the Gospel.
4 We believe that the first principles and ordinances of the Gospel are: first, Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ; second, Repentance; third, Baptism by immersion for the remission of sins; fourth, Laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost.
5 We believe that a man must be called of God, by prophecy, and by the laying on of hands by those who are in authority, to preach the Gospel and administer in the ordinances thereof.
6 We believe in the same organization that existed in the Primitive Church, namely, apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists, and so forth.
7 We believe in the gift of tongues, prophecy, revelation, visions, healing, interpretation of tongues, and so forth.
8 We believe the Bible to be the word of God as far as it is translated correctly; we also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God.
9 We believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.
10 We believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the Ten Tribes; that Zion (the New Jerusalem) will be built upon the American continent; that Christ will reign personally upon the earth; and, that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory.
11 We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may.
12 We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law.
13 We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.

These are important because its the beliefs of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I challenge you all to use these to answer Qs from people about the church.  It will work.

Also, we got to chop a ton of wood for people that needed it.  It was so fun!  I loved it, my hand hurts still though.   We are going again tomorrow to chop more.  I cant wait and I will bring pictures well

I love you all kinda ha ---i will send the audio thing this week i dont really have many pictures though.

Love you all mom dad ian jaden elle and grandma but not bud.....

Update:

OK so Sorry everyone. We just finished moving and it was so crazy. But hopefully we'll be on a regular schedule again. Also Chase isn't awesome at updating us on things that I always want to know. We also get letters from his mission president every time he gets a new trainee. He is on his third person he's training and he's also a District Leader and has been for some time. Cracks me up he doesn't let us know those things but obviously he is just loving serving and details aren't important to him. 12 more months as of last week!!!!!! There are a few letters to post: 9/6 Well this week was great & a little more fruitful then last week. Some tough lessons though. Some people we teach have hit the wall. That wall I think is the wall of faith. So that's fun. It also seems we have run into a few people who struggle with same sex attraction. Its good we can talk with them and help them because they start to understand what the church really says about it . for more info look up (https://www.lds.org/topics/same-sex-attraction?lang=eng ) So this week has cooled off a lot it even rained like crazy for 40 minutes it was great I went and stood in the rain. It was nice. This week my testimony has again been reaffirmed that prayer works and that we relay do have to ask sometimes. We prayed that we could talk to one person before we went in for the night and when we said amen and opened our eyes there was a guy walking super fast. So, we walked a very brisk pace with him and talked with him -it was good. This experience showed me that God answers prayers but often times He still wants us to work. He didn't give us a slow person who would just stop and talk for a bit He gave us a guy with a super thick accent and a very brisk walk. But I am glad He did. My ponderize scripture this week is Ether 12:26 " And when I had said this, the Lord spake unto me, saying: Fools mock, but they shall mourn; and my grace is sufficient for the meek, that they shall take no advantage of your weakness" This scripture reminds me that gods grace is sufficient for my weakness and it reminds me to not focus on others weakness or I am a fool. well love you all- Chase 8/29 Well it was TRANSFERS ........ I am staying in Page with Elder Johnson yippy! This week was kinda tough we had a lot of people not be there for the set appointment. So yeah, we need to help people understand the importance of that. We have some wonderful people we are teaching. This week I learned don't judge. I sometimes form false opinions predicated on story's and look and then I conjure up in my mind whether or not they will be a good investigator, and that is dumb! I have been proven wrong several times this week by our Heavenly Father and I finally got it after a while and so I am really trying to change that. I know it will help. yes its true in just over a week I will have been a missionary for a whole year! Kinda crazy but boy do I love it. My ponderize scripture this week was Alma 34:37 its a good one it says And now, my beloved brethren, I desire that ye should remember these things, and that ye should work out your salvation with fear before God, and that ye should no more deny the coming of Christ; yeah its just good there is undoubtedly a God, and i know that that God sent a savior Jesus Christ. Love Elder roskelley 8/15 Hello this week was great it was very weird though still not sure why? None the less we had an amazing stake conference Elder Stevenson was there from the quorum of the 12 apostles. So we where the only zone in the whole mission who got to see him. Pretty lucky to be in Page right now, the adult session on Saturday night took a dramatic turn towards missionary work ad he said he didn't want to not follow the spirit and so he scratched his whole talk and just talked on missionary work. Then the new stake president was the stake high councilor for missionary work ha this zone is going to be on fire! Today some members are taking us out to some cliff ruins and stuff should be great. I am excited for that too. Also making some changes to the personal routine that I think will help me a lot with everything( organization, spiritual, etc) my ponderize scripture is moroni 10:3-5 yall should read it and then do it. well I love you all- Sincerely Elder Roskelley

August

This week was great ! We where blessed with 7 new investigators and we had one of the if not the most powerful lesson I have been a part of my whole mission. It was incredible the spirit was there and we know that he felt it he probably would have been baptized that day honestly. The spirit is the best thing we can forget things we see or hear but you don't easily forget what you feel. I will not forget how that lesson felt. I doubt he will either. Well,  we also met the manager of the 3 subways here in Page and it sounds like we might get the hook up.        what!   You know that's right!  Allso i have learned a ton the last couple weeks about inspiration and even revelation. Great things are happening and we are very bold with talking to all who might cross our path its scary buts its kinda fun. It's s hot lately- just kidding its always hot -ha but monsoon season is officially started so finally i get to see rain. my ponderize scripture is in the doctrine and covenants section 24:12 it says
And at all times, and in all places, he shall open his mouth and declare my gospel as with the voice of trumpboth day and night. And will give unto him strength such as is not known among men.
I know for a fact this is true because like anything to be proven true we put it to the test and i have seen it work more than once. now i am working on doing it all the time. hopefully we will get to go out to some native American ruins soon we have a member who wants to take us he just needs work of on Monday the ruins are some of the ones in the cliff side they are sweet.
love you all lots

Answering my questions

yeah its weird being a district leader & a trainer  but i have learned a lot for sure, who knows bye the end of this next year i might be mature ha!

July Catch up

Sorry We've been OOT and I havent gotten these up as fast as usual.  First off we got an awesome video and text from a member in Page telling us how awesome Chase is and a video of a lesson he taught.  It was beautiful!  His testimony of our gospel is so strong and I was so touched to hear his voice and sweet spirit.
The picts are two from the person.  One is a picture of the houses they teach at.  It looks like a shed but its a normal home for the Navajo and Lego people.  We are so blessed to have all we have.

Latest Letter:

hi mom and everyone else.   This week was great! It was hot but fun.  We had some super great people come to church.  I was so happy for them they had a great time.   We have still been blessed with great people to teach here in the 5th ward. I love it!  i got to go on an exchange with one of my zone leaders who will be going home next week, he challenged me to memorize a scripture passage a day so i have.  Its hard but worth it. my ponderize scripture is moroni 8:16 ... behold i speak with boldness having authority from God, and I fear not what man can do, for perfect love casteth out all fear. This one gives me lots of courage during the hard scary parts of missionary work.

i love you all Hagonee

Week Ago Letter:
Sorry this week we had to email Wednesday because of 4th of July.   Yesterday we had Zone conference in Tuba City.   It was really good I learned a ton. This week was fun. Monday we could see some of the fireworks out our window that where down by the golf course it was nice. Its funny all the elders in my apartment are making smoothies and stuff with our little personal blenders hope fully we loose some weight. We also run and stuff.   We found these beautiful trails near by so we run sometimes.   Its got some great views I'll take pic one of these days.

My ponderize scripture this week is 1 Corinthians 10:13 It's super good. It talks about temptation and how Heavenly Father will never let us have to much and how there is always a way to escape temptation.  It makes me think of the youth theme from a while -ago stand ye in holy places. However not all temptation is because we are in the wrong place sometimes we just cant avoid it.   For those time just look to your Heavenly Father and remember someone already over came that same temptation. I know this definitely helps me out lots haha .

love you all
and look up the scripture I forgot to write it out for yall

2 posts and some amazing Picts!

Well this week was Amazing!  So much happened that was just great literally saw miracles it was just great!  To answer your question, yes some shirts would be great maybe 2-3 short sleeve and 1 long.
I survived transfers I am staying in Page 5th ward. It is getting so hot I put a ton of sunscreen on. I
will attach some pictures to this email form some hikes in a slot canyon and horseshoe bend. This week we got to teach a guy in front of 25 priests and a couple bishops and other members so that was crazy but ended up going very well He is a great guy and can't wait to teach him more.
My ponderize scripture is 2 Nephi 32:5
5)  For behold, again I say unto you that if ye will enter in by the way, and receive the Holy Ghost, it will show unto you all things what ye should do. I love this because it shows a huge blessing of baptism and confirmation. I hope you all think about this and realize the great blessing you have been given and if you don't understand this email or know you have not been baptized ----talk to some missionary's. Well lots more happened this week it was all good. My testimony is growing a ton and I love the the gospel of Jesus Christ in its entirety.

 love you all
hagoonee

This week has been awesome we are meeting with some amazing people and seeing results.  God is blessing us like crazy. We helped move a lot of heavy furniture which is good. I like doing that. We are getting to see people make a lot of changes its awesome. This week we have been trying to get in and teach a young girl because she went to girls camp and felt the spirit super strong. We showed up at her house and met her super catholic grandma and kind of catholic mom and found out one of our other investigators is dating the mom surprise!  We walked in on a full blown soap opera. That was fun. For workouts this week one morning we jogged to the famous Horse Shoe Bend.   Its my second time there but  it was still astounding. Today we went on a guided tour through Antelope canyon, which is epic! If you have ever seen an picture of a slot canyon with like a beam of light or something like that there is a 99 percent chance is was taken there.  It was pretty coo.  l I wish my camera was better now.

My ponderize is Mathew 5:3-9 the B- attitudes don't have much to say about them other than amen and that's the goal I guess. well  I love you all

End of May update

Thank you!  I got the package it was sweet.   I had to eat the fish outside they couldn't handle it.   To smelly for the land locked people. We met a less active guy who has the phantom drone and all sorts of stuff for it priced around 1000 dollars total, that's crazy! I’m fully content with the 30 dollar one its so fun.

This week was tough but so worth it.  We had a ton of fun and my testimony grew as did my appreciation for the missionaries and church members in the area.   They are awesome!  We are tracting in the sun a lot and I have yet to get sunburned so ha everyone that says how white I am ha. Met some strange people and some super angry people but they all make me laugh. We also met some great people. Our zone did a zone fast for the work in Page and I cant wait to see what the Lord has in store for the zone.

This morning I got to flip some huge tires for workout it was awesome!   Today our plan is to go check out Horseshoe Bend that should be sweet.

 My Ponderize for this week

is Haggai 1:5,7 I like this scripture

5 Now therefore thus saith the Lord of hosts; Consider your ways.
7¶Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Consider your ways .

I love this because it is so simple and the lord says it twice within a couple of verses. I know I need to consider the way I do things and ask myself is this the Lords way?

I invite you all to do this too. I guarantee that if you do this coupled with scripture study you as an individual will improve immensely.

I love ya’ll a lot and miss you.

Hagoonee

May Day

Wow,  I am jealous of the burgers in the picture and Ian's tie in that homecoming pic or whatever it was.

This week was so weird but I loved it. It was really hard to leave Dilkon because I grew to love it there a lot but it had to be done for me to progress.  So far so good in Page lots of work to be done. I am so happy that Elder Echohawk and Sister Echohawk could come out as well as Elder Cook and Sister Cook. Their talks were so good and the spirit was amazing.  I loved it so much and I really needed it. He said some things that absolutely blew my mind and almost brought the whole audience to tears (300ish) During the closing prayer everyone was sniffling it was awesome. One thing he said I bet you guys would like is that he and Elder Holland where missionary companions on there missions... how crazy is that?!

Page seems good. This area is only like 7 mins across though which is super weird because my last area was a solid 45 miles.   So yeah, but there are awesome people here that need the gospel so I know there is something I can do here. My companion is 6'4' and is a baller so that awesome.   We play ball every morning almost. It’s rained here for the whole time. I have been here.  Im so thankful for that. My companion is the District leader so that awesome. The zone is amazing and I can feel how close they are and I am already close with them and its been like 3 days sense I got here.   It helps we all live like 30 mins away from each other.

Anyway, my ponderize scripture is Doctrine and Covenants 87:8

     8)  Wherefore, stand ye in holy places, and be not moved, until the day of the Lord come; for behold, it cometh quickly, saith the Lord. Amen.

This is pretty self-explanatory, just be in good places mentally and physically if you don't know how to do that, find some missionaries if you cant do that get some scriptures and read them.   I'm confident that you will get the help and guidance you need.

I love you all and hope you can stand in a holy place and bring others with you.

First Transfer!!

Okay so first I got a package with socks protein powder and mints thanks that stuff looks good. also I got Kelsey's package.  It was a sweet package and I enjoyed the candy already but the jerky and granola bars are going with me.

Dang Its transfers and I have got the news I've been dreading. I have to leave Dilkon. It is and will be tough but I knew it had to happen eventually.. I have been in Dilkon for 7 months and it was awesome.   I love the people there so much.  Sunday was really hard.
I am going to Page AZ and will be serving in the 5th ward. It will be weird being around so many white people (no offence ). I am looking forward to it though.  It sounds like almost everyone from Dilkon has immediate family that lives there so hope fully I can find them.

This week was a pretty good last week we saw most everyone at some point.  I am grateful for the opportunity to be able to get to know all of them and hopefully to have taught them something at some point that they will remember. Because I will definitely remember what they have taught me. I had a lot of fun in Dilkon too.   (probably to much, ha ha)  Anyway, this week was super windy so I got a kite.... it broke in like 2 days but it sure was fun and I learned something from it.

The kite only worked with a constant wind blowing against it. and when the wind really picked up like 20- 40 mph the kite would nose dive. Then when it was at the right angle to catch the all the wind it would take off right as it hit the ground and go back up as fast if not faster then when it dove. The kite only broke when I misused it and misguided it .  The string broke and it was gone and I couldn't catch it.  I believe that this applies to life.  We cant move forward or go up (progress) with out resistance or opposition.  Also, when life blows to hard we sometimes nose dive because we weren't in the right position to take the force but once/if we adjust we often shoot back up even higher. Finally,  the flyer or guide is God and unlike me when I flew the kite He wont misuse or misguide you or tie a lizard to you and see if you can still fly. He will guide you so that the wind or your life experienced will make you more like Him

My ponderize is Mosiah 4:21 this scripture talks of how much we rely on God and how He gives us so much so we should also give to one another.
love yall

General conference weekend update

So this last week was crazy and this next week will be too!  We just had zone conference which  was amazing and so was General Conference.  I have so many notes I cant believe it. I Loved all of the talks I cant choose just one. There were a few that where especially helpful for missionary's and they helped and inspired me. This last weeks weather was cold but today is 84 degrees and its awesome. I may have gotten sunburned. We went on a hike after I emailed last week it was sooo awesome we found an old, old wall that was built by the natives out of the rocks around the butte.  It was also like 50 mile per hour winds -that was crazy!  I thought we were going to blow of the butte. Today we went to our branch first councilors house in joseph city and ate lunch, shot some pool, and oh yeah got to cut down some trees. He is a 7th generation woodsmen . He is awesome. The drive to their house is beautiful. This week we found some very promising people and I cant wait to get them progressing towards baptism.

My ponderize scripture is mosiah 5:2 which was talked about a little in conference (that's kinda why I chose it ) it says ]
2:And they all cried with one voice, saying: Yea, we believe all the words which thou hast spoken unto us; and also, we know of their surety and truth, because of the Spirit of the Lord Omnipotent, which has wrought a mighty change in us, or in our hearts, that we have no more disposition to do evil, but to do good continually.

I really like the part that says ..."which has wrought a mighty change in us, or in our hearts, that we have no more disposition to do evil, but to do good continually."

I know if we let it the gospel can do that for all of us. I know because I have seen that happen for lots of people, myself included , slowly but surely.

I love you all and wish I had more time to email ya'll but I don't so

Last 2 weeks of March

March 21:

Okay, so sorry for not emailing last week it was spring break so every place to email was closed.  We have been doing good.   Its been nice and warm here. I love it but don't at the same time. We have slowed down a little bit on finding people to teach.  We need to focus on actually teaching the people we have found but we have had some very serious discussions with a lot of people. Its funny how bold you can get with people when you care about what you have to share with them.

We have been doing soooo much service with a super awesome guy who hasn't been to church in forever.  He came last Sunday it was awesome!  He is a cool guy he showed us (we didn't touch or fire them in anyway shape or form) his guns.  He had like 9 they where sweet!   I think one was illegal but who cares it the rez....lol.

A girl we where trying to talk too was a little rude she was ignoring us at first then I went to pet a dog that was barking and she said it was going to bite me (mixed with some choice words). But it didn't.... it liked me ha!!! I showed that lady!!   But we teach like everyone that lives around here so she better get used to us.

We helped a guy out with some trash and we found some super old Gatorade bottles so that was neat and I got to stab a couch at the dump.  It was very satisfying. Another lady told us we can’t use the Book of Mormon when we teach her so yeah, but we will keep trying.   We will have to stop teaching her the Book of Mormon is the keystone of our religion.   My ponderize scripture is Alma chapter 7 which is way to long but its a good chapter especially verses 10-16. that counts for last week to since its so long.

March 28

Hey guys!  I got the one  package for ST Patrick's day but we aren't going to Winslow this week cuz we don't have a ton of miles. But its nice cuz that gives us 2 extra hours of whatever we want because we wont have to drive so far. I did get a slip for a package of the 25th and Ill pick it up next Monday.

I have some sweet pictures and I’ll be sending them home today.  We found some cool stuff.  Are you guys sending the other SD card back?  I have been thinking of Mexico a lot lately just because it keeps coming up while talking to people. That was a lot of fun.   I am curios as to what Ian will choose for his trip. Anyway, this week was weird in  fact  every week is weird when your on the rez.  I have so many stories that just make no sense. This week was so so so windy Tuesday, Friday and today are crazy I had to pull over at one point because I couldn't see anything it was so cool. My eyes hurt though.   We got to chase some sheep into the sheep pen this week. It was sweet they liked us too.   They let us pet them it was fun.

This Easter was awesome!  The video the church has, the one that says hallelujah a lot, is so awesome.  We got to share that with people and we also shared Mosiah 16:7-10 it was good and it helped us focus on Christ.

Hallelujah means “praise ye the Lord”.   So with that in mind, the video has a lot more meaning and now every time you say hallelujah remember what your saying.

My ponderize scripture is Helaman 14:17 it says

 17) But behold, the resurrection of Christ redeemeth mankind, yea, even all mankind, and bringeth them back into the presence of the Lord.

I really like this, it is the reason we have Easter. The reason being the resurrection which is part of the atonement of Jesus Christ. Which had to be done by and only by Jesus Christ or else we could not go "... back into the presence of the lord."

Hope ya 'll had a good Easter and  don’t forget to watch conference  Don't just clean your house and listen to it in the background---take notes.

Love you all .
