Last 2 weeks of March

March 21:

Okay, so sorry for not emailing last week it was spring break so every place to email was closed.  We have been doing good.   Its been nice and warm here. I love it but don't at the same time. We have slowed down a little bit on finding people to teach.  We need to focus on actually teaching the people we have found but we have had some very serious discussions with a lot of people. Its funny how bold you can get with people when you care about what you have to share with them.

We have been doing soooo much service with a super awesome guy who hasn't been to church in forever.  He came last Sunday it was awesome!  He is a cool guy he showed us (we didn't touch or fire them in anyway shape or form) his guns.  He had like 9 they where sweet!   I think one was illegal but who cares it the rez....lol.

A girl we where trying to talk too was a little rude she was ignoring us at first then I went to pet a dog that was barking and she said it was going to bite me (mixed with some choice words). But it didn't.... it liked me ha!!! I showed that lady!!   But we teach like everyone that lives around here so she better get used to us.

We helped a guy out with some trash and we found some super old Gatorade bottles so that was neat and I got to stab a couch at the dump.  It was very satisfying. Another lady told us we can’t use the Book of Mormon when we teach her so yeah, but we will keep trying.   We will have to stop teaching her the Book of Mormon is the keystone of our religion.   My ponderize scripture is Alma chapter 7 which is way to long but its a good chapter especially verses 10-16. that counts for last week to since its so long.

March 28

Hey guys!  I got the one  package for ST Patrick's day but we aren't going to Winslow this week cuz we don't have a ton of miles. But its nice cuz that gives us 2 extra hours of whatever we want because we wont have to drive so far. I did get a slip for a package of the 25th and Ill pick it up next Monday.

I have some sweet pictures and I’ll be sending them home today.  We found some cool stuff.  Are you guys sending the other SD card back?  I have been thinking of Mexico a lot lately just because it keeps coming up while talking to people. That was a lot of fun.   I am curios as to what Ian will choose for his trip. Anyway, this week was weird in  fact  every week is weird when your on the rez.  I have so many stories that just make no sense. This week was so so so windy Tuesday, Friday and today are crazy I had to pull over at one point because I couldn't see anything it was so cool. My eyes hurt though.   We got to chase some sheep into the sheep pen this week. It was sweet they liked us too.   They let us pet them it was fun.

This Easter was awesome!  The video the church has, the one that says hallelujah a lot, is so awesome.  We got to share that with people and we also shared Mosiah 16:7-10 it was good and it helped us focus on Christ.

Hallelujah means “praise ye the Lord”.   So with that in mind, the video has a lot more meaning and now every time you say hallelujah remember what your saying.

My ponderize scripture is Helaman 14:17 it says

 17) But behold, the resurrection of Christ redeemeth mankind, yea, even all mankind, and bringeth them back into the presence of the Lord.

I really like this, it is the reason we have Easter. The reason being the resurrection which is part of the atonement of Jesus Christ. Which had to be done by and only by Jesus Christ or else we could not go "... back into the presence of the lord."

Hope ya 'll had a good Easter and  don’t forget to watch conference  Don't just clean your house and listen to it in the background---take notes.

Love you all .

March update

OKAY  So, this week was pretty good!  We got transfer news and I am staying in Dilkon for 7 more weeks! (usually when you're the trainer its for 12 weeks so we knew he'd be staying)
I am afraid it will be my last so I want to make the best of this time.   I have set some pretty difficult goals for myself but I am confident that we can reach them. This week was nice it was about 70 every day except yesterday it was super windy and it snowed...?! So that was weird but it was nice to get some precipitation.   I really miss all the Washington rain haha and the dark grey clouds.

This week we had a cool experience we went to go try to teach some one we had met at the bball courts and we saw his dad and a friend of his dad working on something outside.   So we tried to help him.   Upon walking up we said  “Hey, how's it going is there anything we can do to help?”  and he said "NO I don't have time for God.... "  We shrugged that comment off and said “okay when would be a good time?”   and he said "probably never." So we left and I have thought a lot about that comment "I don't have time for God..." here is the answer that has been playing in my mind since then.   “You don't have time for God but he took the time to make you and to make a world for you, to provide you with every divine opportunity to excel and to become like him but you don't have the respect to give him  or just a fraction of your time the same time that in all seriousness is his time ?”   .. I get kinda upset when I think about it but yeah. I really hope all of you ARE making time for God how you do that is up to you but the best way I can think of is to ask God what he wants and then to do that.

Anyway, this week was a lot of fun we met some new people that are very promising future members of the church. my ponderize scripture is mosiah 24:14-15
14 And I will also ease the burdens which are put upon your shoulders, that even you cannot feel them upon your backs, even while you are in bondage; and this will I do that ye may stand as witnesses for me hereafter, and that ye may know of a surety that I, the Lord God, do visit my people in their afflictions.
15 And now it came to pass that the burdens which were laid upon Alma and his brethren were made light; yea, the Lord did strengthen them that they could bear up their burdens with ease, and they did submit cheerfully and with patience to all the will of the Lord.
I love these go didn't take away there burdens but he made them stronger that they did become light "that they could bear up their burdens with ease..." then they where happy and thanked him and continued through until the lord delivered them out of bondage. we all go through things that hold a lesson that we must learn and until we get help from god to make it manageable enough to take a look at the bigger picture we wont learn what we need to so seek help from god he will help you.

I love you all and hope ya’ll have a great week-Chase
